William & Mary Students Biking on the VA Capital Trail
William & Mary Students Biking on the VA Capital Trail

Would you like to be able to bike on a dedicated multi-use trail from William & Mary's campus to Richmond, Hampton, or even Virginia Beach?  Well, you just might be able to someday.

Come to the McLeod Tyler Wellness Center on Wednesday, September 25th at 4 PM and learn how the Birthplace of America Trail once completed will not only benefit William & Mary but will also benefit Williamsburg, our region, and the state of Virginia.

Presenting will be Mr. Tom Howard - Chairman of the Tidewater Trails Association, Dr. Katherine Preston – Professor Emerita from William & Mary, and Miss Carolina Lopez-Silva – a senior & member of the William & Mary Bike Alliance.

Each of our presenters will highlight how this trail when completed will not only enhance the quality of life of those communities that it passes through, but it will also foster civic engagement, wellness, and recreation/destination tourism.

Light refreshments will be served after the presentation
