Eduardo Lalo is an award-winning Puerto Rican decolonial writer, visual artist and fellow at the Caribbean Studies Institute of the University of Puerto Rico. Eduardo Lalo is a prolific writer with almost a dozen of novels, essays and compilations, and was awarded of the most prestigious Latin American literature prize, the Romulo Gallegos literary award for his novel Simone, recently turned into a movie. Lalo is a frequent contributor to newspapers in Puerto Rico and in Latin America and has been visiting professor in universities such as University of Texas and Oxford University. Lalo is also a visual artist that integrates his works with his writing.
