Professor Jeremy Black is an extraordinary academic, having authored over a hundred books. Titles include: George III: America's Last King (2009), The War of 1812 (2009), A History of the British Isles (2012), A History of Diplomacy (2011), and War: A Short History (2010).

Black was educated at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford, and Durham. He is currently Professor of History at the University of Exeter, U.K.

Black was awarded M.B.E., for his work advising the Royal Mail on suitable historical themes to be used on U.K. postage stamps. He is recognized as a leading military historian around the world.
