Our alumni professionals will join us via Zoom for this career panel focused on careers within journalism. Ask questions and learn about career paths in journalism from W&M alumni working in the industry.

Madeleine Aggeler '13, Lifestyle and Wellness Reporter at The Guardian US

  • Madeleine Aggeler is a lifestyle and wellness reporter for the Guardian US. Previously, she was a senior writer at New York Magazine's the Cut. She has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, GQ, and Texas Monthly. She graduated from William & Mary in 2013.

Joseph Wehmeyer '24, Content Associate at War on the Rocks

  • Joseph Wehmeyer '24 is a Content Associate for War on the Rocks. At William & Mary, Joseph studied Government and History. Prior to graduation, he held editorial and press internships in Washington, D.C. and wrote for The Flat Hat.

Adrianne Jeffries '08, Showrunner and Producer, Bloomberg News

  • Adrianne is a journalist, documentary producer, and co-creator of the podcast Underunderstood. Currently she is a producer and showrunner for Bloomberg Originals. She lives in New York.

Valerie Hopkins '09 (tentative), International Correspondent at The New York Times

  • Valerie is an international correspondent for The New York Times, covering the war in Ukraine and how the conflict is changing Russia, Ukraine, Europe and the United States. Currently based in Berlin.
