Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, Richard Sylla, Kaufman Professor of the History of Financial Institutions and Markets and professor of economics at New York University will give a talk on "Financial Crises: Lessons from History". Dr. Sylla's research focuses on the financial history of the U.S. in comparative contexts and among his books are "A History of Interest Rates" (2005), "Founding Choices: American Economic Policy in the 1790s" (2011), and "Genealogy of American Finance" (2015).
