Join AMP's Science & Sustainability Committee, get soap savvy, and feel so fresh and so clean in this practical Soap Making event! Discover what goes into the standard off-the shelf soap and how you can easily replace artificially fragranced, skin drying soaps by making your own luxurious, natural, skin loving homemade soaps.
When you stop by the DIY soap event you'll not only leave with your own homemade soap -- but also with knowledge of the basic chemistry, safety precautions, kitchen set-up and essential equipment required that go into soap making.
Discover the benefits and healing properties of a number of base botanical ingredients and additional additives like essential oils for therapeutic benefit and aromatic delight, exfoliants, colourants, and many bubbles more.
Get hands on when you make your own naturally fragranced soap and learn to create your own customized recipes! The whole process only takes ~10 minutes per person! So drop by and have fun!
