The
Parks Research Lab at William & Mary connects community members, park practitioners, and researchers to advance research that examines the impact of public spaces on public health, both physical and mental. Park Ambassadors on our team encourage students at William & Mary to get outside in parks and green spaces to benefit their mental health, as exposure to nature is proven to decrease stress, anxiety, and depression.

They are having some Park Ambassador training events to bring in new members to the team! If you are interested in prescribing parks to your fellow students, go to one of their training sessions to learn more! The sessions are Friday, February 16th and Friday, February 23rd from 11am-12pm in the  Center for Geospatial Analysis (second floor Swem).
