[PAST EVENT] Queer Climates on Campus: An LGBTQ Discussion Panel

October 14, 2015
7pm - 9pm
Location
Sadler Center, Tidewater A
200 Stadium Dr
Williamsburg, VA 23185Map this location
The discussion panel will feature professors and William & Mary staff that are either openly queer or allies of the LGBTQ community. They will answer a set of pre-prepared questions relating to discrimination, inclusion/exclusion, and support of queer students on campus. There will be a short Q&A section after the panel where students can ask their own questions to receive advice from mentors affiliated with their identities. The plan is to have students leave with concrete tips, ideas, and strategies for navigating openly queer life on campus and how to get more involved in activism. This panel will not just be about abstracts, but about real problems - and solutions - that affect our queer undergraduates on a day to day basis. One of the chief goals is for William & Mary students to connect with professors and staff to find outlets for help and support.
