The Taiwanese American Student Association presents

The Taiwanese American Student Organization (TASA) presents a public talk with Lo Chih-Chiang.

Lo Chih-chiang is currently a Taipei City Councilmember and will be running for Mayor of Taipei (one of the top political positions in Taiwan). Mr. Lo will comment on the role of social media in Taiwanese & Cross-Strait politics.


Lo Chih-chiang was elected to the city council with a record high of 40,391 votes in 2018. Mr. Lo is a pioneer in using social media for Taiwanese politics. For example, he has 1.08 million followers on Facebook and frequently live streams on YouTube. Mr. Lo previously served Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou as the Deputy Secretary-General, the Presidential Office Spokesman, and the Deputy CEO of Ma’s campaign office. He also served as Deputy President of the Central News Agency.
