The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program at William & Mary seeks to encourage talented mathematics and science majors and professionals to become mathematics and science teachers for grades 6 - 12.
Our program is designed to,
- Give math and science majors a chance to "test the waters" and explore teaching as a potential career through paid summer internships and/or early experiences.
- Offer generous financial support in the form of a $10,000 tuition scholarship to undergraduate and graduate students and/or a paid summer internship ($450/week for up to 8 weeks)
- provide special training and field experience to prepare participants for teaching math and science in a high-need school.
- assist graduates in securing a teaching position and provide continued professional support during the early teaching years.
