[PAST EVENT] Latinx Healing Circle
Access & Features
- Registration/RSVP
Join Dr. Coralis Solomon, clinical assistant professor in the W&M School of Education, for a virtual Healing Circle designed to support the Latinx community at the university.
Hispanic and Latinx individuals who work and study at predominantly white institutions are at risk of facing discriminatory interactions. Experiences with discrimination can include microaggressions and racial stereotyping, leading to feelings of not belonging and isolation. As part of Hispanic Heritage Month at W&M, we are offering a safe cultural space for Hispanic and Latinx individuals to share their experiences. Participants will also learn tools of self-care to combat the negative emotions associated with any racial tensions.
