[PAST EVENT] Linda Greenhouse Lecture and Book Signing: The Burger Court and the Rise of the Judicial Right
Linda Greenhouse is the Knight Distinguished Journalist in Residence and Joseph Goldstein Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. She will give a lecture and sign copies of her new book on the Burger Court. The William & Mary Bookstore will have copies of the book, as well as an assortment of her earlier work, for sale at the event.
Prior to joining Yale Law School, Greenhouse covered the Supreme Court for The New York Times between 1978 and 2008 where she continues to write a biweekly op-ed column on law. Greenhouse has written several other highly regarded books on the Supreme Court and its justices, including a biography of Justice Harry Blackmun and Before Roe v. Wade: Voices that Shaped the Abortion Debate Before the Supreme Court's Ruling. Greenhouse is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and is one of two non-lawyer honorary members elected to the American Law Institute, which in 2002 awarded her its Henry J. Friendly Medal.
