[PAST EVENT] Arguing Fisher & Shelby County
October 21, 2014
12:50pm - 1:50pm
Bert Rein, founding partner of Wiley Rein, will be discussing Fisher v. University of Texas and Shelby County v. Holder. He successfully argued BOTH cases in front of the Supreme Court.
Fisher overturned Texas's race-based admissions policies, and Shelby County invalidated the pre-clearance requirement of the Voting Rights Act.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get an inside look at the litigation of TWO landmark Supreme Court cases and hear about what it is like to argue cases in front of the Supreme Court.
