[PAST EVENT] MLK Service Day

January 21, 2013
8:30am - 1:30pm
Location
TBD
Each year Americans across the country come together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities. The life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. will be celebrated by William & Mary?s students, faculty and staff through service programs on January 21st. The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President's national call to service initiative. It calls for volunteers from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems. This year we will be working with Blayton House to assist local residents of the public housing unit for elderly and disabled people to complete service projects such as writing letters to soldiers and creating crafts for local non-profits agencies.
