The English Department / Creative Writing Program offers three annual $3,000 scholarships: one in Fiction, one in Creative Nonfiction, and one in Poetry.


Jenkins Scholarships are open to all students who have taken or are currently enrolled in a minimum of two upper-level Creative Writing Classes (300 or 400-level), and will be enrolled for the spring 2017 semester. There is no GPA requirement. Applicants may apply for a scholarship in more than one category. 


Applicants must submit an application form, a transcript showing Creative Writing classes taken, and writing samples:   


? For Fiction, submit two samples, not exceeding 25 pages total.

? For Creative Nonfiction, submit two samples, not exceeding 25 pages total.

? For Poetry, submit 6 poems, not exceeding 15 pages total.
