Learn more about the W&M Summer study abroad program in St Andrews, a small town situated on Scotland’s picturesque east coast. Students will earn 6 W&M credits and take courses from faculty at University of St Andrews and the W&M program director, Professor Fred Corney. Founded in 1413, St Andrews is Scotland's oldest university and the third oldest university in the English-speaking world. Professor Corney and GEO staff will be on hand to answer any questions. 

Program Dates: July 18 - August 17, 2022

Course subject areas include history, geography, and/or environmental science. Professor Corney's W&M history course will be titled "Mythic Scotland Through Its Culture" and the local St Andrews course will focus on geography and sustainable development. 

  • HIST 212 - Mythic Scotland Through Its Culture (3 credits) 
  • ENSP 249 - Scotland’s Evolving Landscape (3 credits) 

The program also includes excursions around Scotland.
