[PAST EVENT] Summer 2013 St. Petersburg Study Abroad Program Information Session
October 30, 2012
5pm - 6pm
Interested in studying abroad in St. Petersburg this summer? Join Professor Fred Corney for an information session about the program.
The College of William & Mary's six-week summer program in St Petersburg, Russia offers participants an immersion experience to explore Russian language and culture. Students may earn up to 10 credits through the St Petersburg program, including a 1-credit course to be taken in Spring 2013, and grades will appear on W&M transcripts and be included in GPA calculations.
Participants on the St Petersburg summer program live with Russian families and are provided breakfasts and dinners as part of the homestay arrangement. This offers students ample opportunity to practice their language skills and learn more about Russian culture through daily, interpersonal interactions.
Students on the St Petersburg summer program will also have the opportunity to participate in excursions to areas such as Moscow, Novgorod, Peterhof, and Pavlovsk. Evenings are filled with trips to the theatres, ballets, and operas, including the world-famous Mariinsky Theatre of Ballet and Opera.
