[PAST EVENT] Intersection of Culture and Community

As part Filipino-American Heritage Month, the W&M Filipino-American Student Associaition have brought in Bryan Lozano and Steven Raga, key founders of Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro), to speak about "The Intersection of Culture and Community Organizing."
Comprised of young professionals, students, and youth, UniProf is a NYS certified non-profit, established in 2009 to promote cohesion within the Filipino-American community, organizations, programs, and institutions with the over arching objective of the collective progress.
The event will include spoken word performances, lectures, and a workshop. The session will also include discussion on human rights movements, as well as the international efforts by Filipino-Americans to improve conditions abroad and within the US.
