[PAST EVENT] Visiting Russian Chef Meet and Greet

The Global Chef Program is a month-long international chef residency that provides an opportunity for Sodexo's top chefs worldwide to travel to different countries and share authentic international cuisine with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Chef Sergey Malyshev brings a high level of excitement to the experience of eating and eating well, with his magnetic personality and sense of humor. Starting his career in one of the leading catering companies in St. Petersburg, Sergey's culinary adventures always guided him to something new; new culture, cuisines, cooking techniques, as well as new and exciting ingredients. He joined Sodexo in 2006 and since then has been a permanent menber of the Chef Guild in St. Petersburg, won the Golden Culina competition and has participated as a judge for all Sodexo chefs' regional competitions. Chef Malyshev enjoys inspiring young chefs, sharing his talents and knowledge of food with them.
William & Mary Dining Services will host multiple events during Chef Malyshev's visit to William & Mary, beginning with a Tasting and Meet & Greet that will be open to all students and the public at Marketplace (located in Campus Center) on Monday, October 20 at 12:30pm.
There will be two opportunities for students to taste and appreciate the authentic Russian dishes that Chef Malyshev has crafted in the dining halls, as well as Meet the Chef. Chef Malyshev's menu will be featured for dinner at Commons on Monday, October 20 and for dinner at Sadler on Tuesday, October 21.
