The W&M International Relations Club is proud to present their Spring Fellow, Chic Dambach, who will be giving a lecture entitled "From Peace Corps to Peacebuilding." The lecture will also include a Q&A session, and will be followed by a reception and meet-and-greet in Tidewater B.
International Peacebuilder Chic Dambach is currently the Chief of Staff for Congressman John Garamendi and the President and CEO of the Alliance for Peacebuilding. He served as President and CEO of the National Peace Corps Association from '92 to '98 and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Columbia from '67 to '69.
Chic worked with the leaders of Eritrea and Ethiopia to help end their border war, as well as rebel leaders and the government of the Congo to help them form a coalition government and end the civil war.
In addition, Chic was an official U.S. delegate to the United Nations World Food Conference in Rome in 2000 and recently published his memoir, Exhaust the Limits.
