The prestige of Beijing Normal University, along with its strategic location within the Chinese capital, has made it one of the finest schools of art and communication in the Eastern hemisphere. The Dance Department at BNU is a perfect reflection of this in that it has incorporated a diverse array of dance styles from the many different provinces of China into their performances.
The Dance Department will be visiting W&M this Fall for an academic exchange with William & Mary?s Dance program and corresponding performances. On Saturday, October 6th from 5 to 6pm, the BNU Dance Department will perform in the Commonwealth Auditorium (located within the Sadler Center). Audience members can expect a blend of captivating traditional and modern dances that represent China?s traditional, but also diverse blend of cultures.
