Anna Horakova received her Ph.D. at Cornell University and was a Fellow at Harvard from 2016-2018. Her areas of research are post-1945 German literature and culture, literature and culture of the Weimar Republic, theories of the avantgarde,  postcolonial studies and  visual studies. The title of her talk is Paradigms of Refuge: Layers of History in Jenny Erpenbeck?s Novel Gehen, ging, gegangen.
