[PAST EVENT] Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP) Training
Join us for a presentation by Dr. Josh DeSilva of the W&M Counseling Center on Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP) as it pertains to the legal field. Students will learn useful skills to prepare them to counsel clients who may have experienced trauma, and in turn will help to foster more meaningful and informed client relationships.
Most law schools only teach these skills to students enrolled in legal clinics, so our goal is to bridge that education gap to better prepare our Citizen Lawyers for practice, especially as we gear up for summer internship season.
As we recognize that this topic area may be sensitive or triggering to some, Dr. Judith Johnson will be in attendance should an attendee wish to speak to a counselor.
