Are you a student interested in learning about career opportunities in the environmental and sustainability sectors? Join the Office of Sustainability and the Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement in the Cohen Career Center Presentation Room on Thursday, February 13 from 4-5:30 PM (or tune in via Zoom) for a Sustainable Careers Alumni Panel!
Our speakers work in a range of sustainability fields, all of which contribute to the advancement of environmental justice. The panelists will talk about how they got involved in their current careers, and what their experiences have been like.
PANELISTS
Tiffany-Ann Taylor’s, ‘05
Vice President for Transportation
Regional Planning Association
Before working at RPA, Tiffany served as Deputy Director of Freight Programs, Education, and Research for the Freight Mobility unit at the New York City Department of Transportation and as an Assistant Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
During her time in New York City Government, Tiffany lead transformative passenger transportation projects, freight policy, and truck safety and compliance initiatives. Before her time with the city, Tiffany focused on suburban and regional planning efforts while working for the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development & Planning on Long Island, New York where her primary projects were centered on passenger transportation, open space, and economic development. She holds a B.A. in Government from William & Mary and an M.S. in City & Regional Planning from Pratt Institute.
Tiffany is a first-generation American, the brainchild of the Hindsight Conference, and former President of the New York Metro Chapter of the American Planning Association. Tiffany is an alum of the Coro Leadership New York Program, the Urban Design Forum’s Forefront Fellowship Program, the NYU Rudin Center Emerging Leaders in Transportation Fellowship program, and is a former mentor of Transit Center’s Women Changing Transportation Mentorship program.
Sophie Delzell, ‘18

Sophie is a planner and project manager at Skeo Solutions. She supports community engagement and collaborative planning projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She has experience providing services to federal and non-federal clients including EPA’s Office of Water and Superfund program, as well as state and local partners. Sophie has managed stakeholder facilitation support for a diverse array of projects including community planning meetings and workshops, situation assessments, and land use analyses. Sophie studied geology and environmental science at William & Mary and earned a master’s degree at the University of Virginia in Urban & Environmental Planning. Her skills include situation assessments, land use and environmental analysis, convening parties and community engagement, charrette design and facilitation, research and writing, and environmental education.

Thomas (Huan-Cheng) Liu is an international development and sustainability professional and the Africa Climate & Environment Lead at Accenture Development Partnerships with strategy, implementation, convening, and business development experience around climate, digital development, energy, financial inclusion, livelihoods and education, and SDGs impact reporting.
