HE Ambassador Leonidas Pantelides, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the U.S., will speak on "Physics and Metaphysics for Virtualities" at Ewell Recital Hall on January 25, 2018, at 7pm.
Leonidas Pantelides is the former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to Sweden, Greece and Russia. Since June 27, 2016 he is Cypriot Ambassador to the United States of America.
Pantelides was born in Nicosia on 11 January 1953.
He studied Philosophy and holds a Ph.D. from the Interdisciplinary Studies Department of the University of Kent, Canterbury, England (1983). The subject of his doctoral dissertation was the concept of Time. He published a book on Philosophy (2003) and has written a number of articles on various philosophical, political and cultural subjects. He is a regular public speaker.
He has taught International Affairs as part-time professor and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Diplomatic Academy, University of Nicosia.
