[PAST EVENT] The Contemporary Effects of the Acadian Diaspora, a guest lecture by Barry Ancelet
A native Louisiana French-speaking Cajun, Barry Jean Ancelet is a Chevalier in France?s Palmes Acad?miques, the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, a member of Quebec?s Ordre des Francophones d?Am?rique, and a Fellow of the American Folklore Society. He is Professor Emeritus at UL Lafayette where he has served as Director of the Center for Acadian and Creole Folklore and Professor of Francophone Studies and Folklore. He was also nominated for a Grammy in 2017 along with Sam Broussard for the album Broken Promised Land.
