Please welcome Marc E. Elias, Partner at Perkins Coie, L.L.P for a public facing lecture hosted by the William & Mary Election Law Society. The lecture will take place during the lunch hour on September 26 in room 124, and is open to the public. Lunch will be provided.
Mr. Elias is the chair of Perkins Coie's Political Law Practice. He is a nationally recognized authority on campaign finance law, political law, voting rights, and government ethics. Mr. Elias has been involved in redistricting lawsuits in Texas, Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. He has successfully represented numerous candidates in recounts, including Senator Al Franken's 2008 recount, Attorney General Mark Herring's 2013 recount, and Senator Mark Warner's 2014 recount. His clients include the Democratic National Committee, the DSCC, the DCCC, and the DGA. He also served as general counsel to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.Please welcome Marc E.
