Location
Location not specifiedAccess & Features
- Open to the public
Frank R. Samolis advises clients on negotiations and bilateral/regional trade agreements with organizations such as the WTO. He has also served as a representative for the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and other several foreign trade agreements/negotiations.
Samolis will lead a lecture informing and discussing recent trade activities between the United States and China– including both the previous trade tariffs and China’s recent $200 billion investment in the U.S.’s goods and services. Debate surrounds whether or not China and the U.S. will maintain their ends of the trade deal, and if these heavily enforced trade restrictions will mark the end of continued trade relations between the two economic powerhouses.
The lecture will take place Thursday, October 29th, from 12:50 - 2:20 pm through Zoom. The meeting ID is 906 510 9350. The passcode is 1693. At the end of the lecture there will be thirty minutes for audience members to ask questions. We are excited to see you there!
