Professor Jeremy Black's talk will provide an overview of the development and utilization of geopolitics by various governments during the 20th century.
A graduate of Queen's College, Cambridge, Professor Black is Professor of History at the University of Exeter (U.K.). He has written 100 books, many on the topic of 18th-century Britain. He has served on the editorial boards of various journals, including the International History Review and the Journal of Military History, and is a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
His talk is free and open to the public, co-sponsored by the Reves Center for International Studies, the Lyon Gardiner Tyler Department of History, and the Faculty of Arts & Sciences.
