Alexander Evans, Henry A. Kissinger Chair in Foreign Policy, Library of Congress, will present "Does India Shape Pakistan's Foreign Policy", an India Intitiative Lecture Series Lexture.
Pakistani strategists argue that India's growing power and military capabiliies pose a potential threat to Pakistan. Does India really pose a threat to Pakistan? How much of Pakistan's foreign policy is based on perceptions rather than reality? What does the history of Pakistan's relationship with India tell us about decision-making in both countires? And what scope is there for a successful peace process moving forward?
