Celebrity Chef Katsuya Fukushima presents tales and cooking demonstrations about his life, entitled "From El Bulli to Hokkaido: A Chef's Culinary Travel." Chef Fukushima is a two-time winner on Iron Chef. He was trained by the renowned chef Ferran Adri at El Bulli, for years voted the best restaurant in the world. Demonstrating creative brilliance as one of the pioneers of molecular gastronomy, Chef Katsuya made a name for himself as one of America's most innovative and dynamic chefs at Jos Andrs' Minibar and Cafe Atlantico. More recently, he co-owns Daikaya and Izakaya in Washington, D.C., voted one of the top 50 new restaurants by Bon Appetit Magazine.

Chef Fukushima will be speaking to Prof. Stephen Sheehi's class, "The Culture of Arab Food," earlier in the day and will present, talk, and give a cooking demonstration to the William and Mary community at large on Thursday Oct, 30 at 5pm at McGlothlin-Street Hall, Room 20.
