APALSA, MLSA & LLSA present Unpacking & Interrogating the Diversity Pipeline: Underrepresented Groups in the Law

Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), Muslim Law Students Association (MLSA), and Latinx Law Student Association (LLSA) welcome you to our first-ever joint symposium at the end of the month. This event is free and open to the public.

Our first session will be a workshop on affirmative action that will include counsel from the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law for student amici (Asian Americans Advancing Justice) on the Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard case. Our speakers are also involved in ongoing litigation against UNC and UT, representing students who support race-conscious admissions policies.

In the afternoon, we will learn from a panel of scholars and practitioners that will discuss various aspects of minority representation in law schools and out in the practice. This session will be moderated by Professor Vivian Hamilton.

Light breakfast items and lunch will be served, with a reception to follow. Sign in/breakfast will start 9:15 am, first session will start at 10:00 am.

Please RSVP via this form if possible, or via the Facebook event. If you have any dietary restrictions, you may indicate them on the form.
