On August 23, 2011, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Mineral, Virginia shook the mid-Atlantic from Georgia to the Canadian border. Join W&M geology professor Chuck Bailey as he explores the nature and history of earthquakes in Virginia and the probability of future temblors. His talk is the inaugural lecture of VIMS After Hours Lecture series for 2012.
