This teaching project workshop is designed to help faculty better inform students, including students who are underrepresented at William & Mary, about how to become involved with research outside the classroom. We will discuss different strategies for making information about research more transparent, including revising personal and departmental websites. Additionally, we will discuss the important role that pre-major advising plays in the research process and offer ideas for providing information that will enable students to effectively search for research opportunities that fit their interests and goals. In preparation for this workshop, we encourage you to review information about undergraduate research on your department and program websites.
