Scholar-In-Residence Dr. Karen Gabriel, a visiting professor from St. Stephen's College of the University of Delhi in India, will give an open lecture regarding her research on Indian social issues and contemporary Bombay Cinema. Her lecture, entitled "Melodrama, Bombay Cinema, and Politics of Exclusion: The Case of Mother India / Bharat Mata" will explore these themes tying in a discussion of the iconography of India.
