All areas of health and fitness will be taught from basic anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and nutrition to instruction techniques and combination building. The required study materials are the American Council on Exercise's Group Fitness Instructor Manual, Study Guide and Sample Test. Student will receive their study materials on the first day of class.

What happens at the end of the course?
At the end of the course, all members of the training course will be prepared to pass the American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Certification Exam (it is recommended that students take the exam during winter break). Exams can be taken on a computer at various testing sites around the country. Students can go to the ACE website (see link below) to view dates and locations of upcoming exams near them. All training course participants receive a 20% discount on the cost of the exam and 20% off of study materials (included in the course fee). In order to pass the in-house training course, participants will need to pass a short practical exam and also a written exam.
