[PAST EVENT] Focus ON: The Boren Scholarship
November 20, 2014
6pm - 7pm
The Boren Scholarships provide American undergraduates with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experience in countries and areas of the world critical to the future security of our nation. As a student of another culture and language you will begin to acquire the international competence you need to communicate effectively across borders, understand other perspectives and analyze increasingly fluid economic and political realities.
Recipients of a Boren Scholarship accept a Service Requirement to work for the federal government in the national security arena. Boren Scholars must begin to fulfill the service requirement no later than three years after the date of graduation from, or termination of, the program of study for which the scholarship was awarded.
Students interested in applying can find more information here, and the PSAs will hold an information session about the Boren Scholarship on November 20, 2014, at 5:30 PM in Blow 201.
The PSAs are available from 9-5 Mon-Thu and 9-4 on Fri to help you with your scholarship needs. If you have any questions about the Boren, feel free to contact us at peerscholadvice@gmail.com.
