3:30pm - 4:45pm
This year marks the 800th anniversary of one of the seminal documents in Anglo-American legal culture: Magna Carta.
We will hear from three distinguished speakers about the importance of Magna Carta:
Professor A.E. Dick Howard. Professor Howard is a distinguished scholar of American constitutional law and history at the University of Virginia Law School.
Professor Tom McSweeney. Our very own Professor McSweeney is one of the nation's leading experts on Magna Carta.
Sir Robert Worcester. Sir Robert is the chair of the United Kingdom's Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Commemoration Committee (having previously chaired the United Kingdom's Jamestown 400th Anniversary Commemoration Committee).
