Dr. Alia Yunis of NYU Abu Dhabi will discuss her novel, THE NIGHT COUNTER, on March 18, 2021 as part of the Asian Centennial at William & Mary.

Alia Yunis has worked on projects on five continents, as a writer and filmmaker. Her feature documentary, The Golden Harvest (2019), made its debut at Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and won Best of the Fest at its US debut at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. Dr. Yunis is a Pen Emerging Voices Fellow, and has spent many years in Los Angeles as a screenwriter and script analyst. "The Night Counter" has been critically acclaimed by The Washington Post and Boston Entertainment Weekly.

Free admission to W&M faculty, staff and students.

General admission is $7.50 per event, and $20.00 for the Asian American Plural series pass featuring Alia Yunis (March 18), Paul Ocampo (March 30) and Abeer Hoque (April 15).
