Beautiful swimmers: blue crabs in Chesapeake Bay

Recent management actions appear to be helping Chesapeake Bay's blue crab population rebound toward a healthy, sustainable level after decades of decline. VIMS professor Rom Lipcius examines blue crab biology, the science behind blue crab management, and the new environmental challenges that threaten the long-term sustainability of the Bay's blue crab population.

The lecture is the March installment of VIMS' 2015 After Hours lecture series, which helps celebrate our 75th anniversary with lectures following the "Then, Now, and Next" theme of our anniversary celebration.

Reservations to this free public lecture series are required due to limited space. Please register online or call 804-684-7061 for further information.
