[PAST EVENT] Global Film Festival

The College of William & Mary Global Film Festival is scheduled for Feb 16-19 at the Kimball Theater. The event will feature films from around the world, live performances, receptions, and presentations by invited filmmakers. The 2012 theme is Global Film and the City.
The festival will feature films made in and about some of the most iconic cities in the world, while also showcasing smaller, lesser-known cities - including Williamsburg!
This year's festival will also include a W&M Local/Global Student Short Film Competition, world premiers of two "City Symphony" films made by W&M students, Chinese films presented for the launch of the W&M Confucius Institute, an expanded partnership with the W&M French and Francophone Film Festival, special "movie/dinner" packages, and two audience programmed late-night screenings.
Pre-festival film screenings will also take place Wednesdays at 6:30pm, beginning January 18.
All festival films will be shown at the Kimball Theatre, Merchants Square.
