[PAST EVENT] Fulbright Friday: The Fulbright Teaching Assistantship
April 8, 2016
3:30pm - 4:30pm
Each year, many W&M seniors and recent alumni apply for and are awarded Fulbright Scholarships. In this session, you will learn about the English Teaching Assistant (ETA) program.
The ETA Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local teachers. ETA?s help teach English language and American culture while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.
For 2017-18, Fulbright will offer 1,140 teaching awards in approximately 75 countries. That's a lot of awards!
