[PAST EVENT] Dalai Lama's North American Representative
March 15, 2012
7pm - 8:30pm
Prior to becoming the Representative to the Americas, Mr. Nyandak held three roles as a Cabinet member of the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamsala, India: he directed the Department of Information and International Relations, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Health. He is also a former member of the Tibetan Parliament and was the first Executive Director of the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy.
His broad experience in the Tibetan Government-in-Exile positions him as one of the world's leading authorities on Tibetan politics.
His talk will emphasize the recent changes in the Government-in-Exile, the Dalai Lama's current role, and the prospects for negotiations with the People's Republic of China.
