[PAST EVENT] Film Screening and Discussion: The Mask You Live In
April 9, 2015
7:30pm - 10:30pm
"The Mask You Live In" follows boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negotiating America's narrow definition of masculinity. This compelling movie by the makers of "MissRepresentation" brings up important issues related to gender identity, power, and what a "real man" is - all with the goal of creating a society that raises a healthier generation of young men and boys. People of all sexes and gender identities are warmly welcome.
Eric Marlowe Garrison, W&M instructor for masculinity studies, will facilitate a brief discussion after the film.
Co-sponsored by the Interfraternity Council, Someone You Know, Office of Community Engagement, Office of Health Promotion, and Center for Student Diversity.
